Salary negotiations in Nigeria have always been one-sided. Companies know exactly what they pay. You don't. That gap is where careers get undervalued, offers get accepted too quickly and talent gets shortchanged.

For decades, the question "how much should I earn?" had no real answer in Nigeria. The internet existed. Social media thrived. But the data didn't. Salary threads appeared on Twitter, whisper networks formed on WhatsApp and communities quietly shared numbers. Useful, but fragile. Anecdotal. Unverified. Quickly outdated.

We decided to fix that.

The Work

We are running verified surveys with Nigerian professionals across every major industry, location and job role. We are tracking company career pages, parsing corporate salary reports and digging through historical articles, consultant benchmarks and public research going back decades. We are approaching industry experts and organizations to fill the gaps: the years before social media reached Nigeria, and the periods where compensation data didn't exist in usable form.

One platform. What should have always been public knowledge. What Nigerian companies actually pay, by role, by level, by industry and by location.

The Standard

The name is deliberate. SI, like the International System of Units. The standard against which all measurements are made. We believe compensation deserves the same treatment: a common reference point that removes ambiguity and gives every conversation a foundation.

Salary Index is that foundation for Nigerian professionals.

Know What the Market Pays

When you know what the market pays, you negotiate with confidence. You evaluate offers against reality, not against what someone told you in a group chat. You set your sights on what you are actually worth and you get there.

The market already knows what it pays. Now you do too.

Who We're For

The professional who has been in three interviews and never once felt confident about the number they named. The founder who genuinely wants to pay fairly but has no benchmark. The HR manager trying to build a competitive structure in an environment with no transparency.

For those who dare to dream bigger.

Where We're Going

Nigeria is the starting point. Africa is the ambition. As compensation data becomes infrastructure: searchable, comparable and AI-ready, the professionals and organizations with access to it will have a real edge.

We are building that infrastructure. Openly and for everyone.
